Getting the timing right
- Get the carpets steam cleaned first
- Book us for after the carpet clean and before the final inspection
- Leave 2–4 hours for everything to dry before anyone walks through
How to prepare
- Move out your belongings if you can. An empty property gets the best result
- Vacuum floors if the carpets haven't been cleaned yet
- Leave side gates unlocked so we can reach the yard
- Tell us how to get the keys if you won't be there
End-of-lease questions
Does my lease require a pest treatment?
Check your lease. It's usually in a pet clause or the additional terms, and often asks for a flea treatment if you've had a cat or dog. If you're unsure, ask your property manager before you book.
When should I book it?
After the carpets have been cleaned and before the final inspection. Steam cleaning after a flea treatment removes the product, so the pest treatment should be the last job before you hand back the keys.
What paperwork do I get?
A tax invoice showing the property address, the date, what was treated and our licence number. We email it the same day, and we can send a copy straight to your agent.
Do I need to be there?
Not if the property is empty. We can arrange access with you or your agent.
I don't have pets. Do I still need a flea treatment?
Usually not, but some leases ask for a general pest treatment regardless. Book the general pest treatment on its own and we'll adjust the price.
